In a concerted effort to thoroughly implement the special initiative of “Visiting Enterprises to Expand Jobs and Promote Employment,” further deepen school-enterprise cooperation, and broaden job channels and internship platforms for graduates, a delegation from the School of Microelectronics and Data Science recently traveled to Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. The delegation included Zhao Long, Director of the University’s Student Affairs Department and Director of the Career Development Center; Wang Chunsheng, Party Secretary of the School; Zhang Min, Deputy Party Secretary, Discipline Inspection Secretary, and Vice Dean; Li Wenxi, Vice Dean; and several faculty members. Accompanied by relevant staff from the Kunshan Alumni Association, the team visited local companies and held in-depth talks on implementing school-tailored recruitment campaigns.

The delegation’s first stop was Kunshan Qiutu Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. Zhao Long briefed the company on the university’s disciplinary development, research achievements, and talent cultivation programs in microelectronics, data science, and related fields. Both sides engaged in thorough discussions on corporate-sponsored classes, micro-specialty development, recruitment plans for the Class of 2026, internship base construction, and industry-university-research collaborative education. A series of preliminary cooperation intentions were reached.

During a symposium with Suzhou Infotech Information Technology Co., Ltd., the company’s head detailed its development history, core technologies, and talent needs. The university and the company explored ways to align the School’s academic strengths with the enterprise’s practical requirements, focusing on optimizing talent training programs and bridging academic learning with hands-on internships. Both parties expressed hope to establish long-term cooperation mechanisms for mutual benefit.

Accompanied by the head of an alumni-founded enterprise, the delegation also visited Kunshan Dingxinda Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., gaining insights into the company’s production operations, R&D investment, and future plans. They exchanged views on current trends in the intelligent manufacturing industry, evolving talent demands, and the required professional skills and overall qualities of graduates. The School extended a warm invitation to the company to hold a dedicated job fair on campus to recruit outstanding graduates.

This trip to Kunshan marks a significant step in the School’s ongoing “Visiting Enterprises to Expand Jobs” initiative. Through targeted engagement with high-quality companies in the Kunshan area, the School has not only gained a deeper understanding of cutting-edge industry dynamics and corporate hiring needs but also secured a greater number of high-caliber job opportunities for the Class of 2026. The visit further promoted in-depth integration between the School and enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region in areas such as talent cultivation, internship and employment, and scientific research collaboration, thereby laying a solid foundation for improving the quality of talent training and ensuring full and high-quality employment for graduates.
