MA'ANSHAN, June 25, 2025 (AHUT News) — The School of Microelectronics and Data Science at Anhui University of Technology convened a research progress report meeting for faculty members hired within the past three years. Party Secretary Wang Chunsheng, Dean Yang Erguang, and Research Dean Li Yong presided over the session.
Participating young academics delivered comprehensive updates on their research outputs since joining the university, covering high-impact publications, grant applications, external academic engagements, and individual career development plans.
Following the presentations, Dean Yang Erguang acknowledged the faculty’s achievements and outlined three strategic directives: 1)Elevating professional vision: Recognizing the intrinsic connection between personal growth and institutional advancement; 2)Addressing strategic gaps: Aligning research objectives with national priorities to produce landmark achievements; 3)Expanding global engagement: Actively participating in international conferences, inviting renowned scholars for academic exchanges, and pursuing postdoctoral research abroad to strengthen global networks—a key initiative supporting the university’s international talent development framework.
Research Dean Li Yong reinforced research integrity as a fundamental principle, emphasizing strict adherence to ethical standards. He urged proactive planning for funding applications to "capitalize on critical timelines", cautioning against reactive approaches.
In concluding remarks, Secretary Wang Chunsheng commended the faculty’s contributions while advocating an "internal-external synergy" model: leveraging external resources alongside intensified interdisciplinary collaboration within the school. He underscored sustainable career development, advising faculty to prioritize physical and mental wellness alongside professional commitments.
